The Carl Cutler Run

The Carl Cutler Run is a 5k Walk/Run (CCR5K), created to raise awareness of prostate cancer and ignite community fellowship and support of individuals and families affected by cancer. This year's 5K will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 6:45pm in Downtown Whiteville at the intersection of Main and Madison. The CCR5K was established in 2017 in conjunction with the inaugural North Carolina Honey Festival, in honor of Whiteville native, beekeeper and prostate cancer survivor, Carl Cutler.

All proceeds from the 2019 Carl Cutler Run will benefit Southeast Urology in Whiteville, NC - to provide free prostate cancer screenings, stretch budgets for educational initiatives, and fund research for new potential treatments for prostate cancer, which affects more than 160,000 men in the U.S. every year, according to the American Cancer Society.

Participants can register in-person at The Columbus County Dream Center, located at 403 S M.L.K. Ave, Whiteville, NC. Online registration is available at CarlCutlerRun.com. There is no fee required to participate in this year's run, however a minimum $5 donation is suggested.
